Blurred Border is a character-driven, webdocumentary that portrays two sides of a 100km peninsula, which after the collapse of the Soviet Union was divided into two halves – Lithuania and Kaliningrad. The Curonian Spit is a narrow sand peninsula that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea. In the south, Lithuania shares a border with the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation.
Four interactive video portraits invite to observe the dual life in the Curonian Spit of the four professions: the forester, the driver, the fisherman, and the writer. While watching a mirrored webdocumentary, you can move a symbolic line – border on the screen and simultaneously see the two stories that are separated by the borderline in the dunes.
